JENSON BUTTON
Jenson Alexander Lyons Button (born 19 January 1980) is a British Formula One racing driver from England. He currently drives for the Brawn GP team. He won his first Grand Prix in Hungary, on 6 August 2006 after 113 races.[1] He won his next two grand prix races with his new team at the start of the 2009 season
Jenson Button was born in Frome, Somerset, and went to Selwood Middle School and then Frome community college. He is the son of Simone Lyons and former Rallycross ace John Button from London (during the 1970s well-known in the UK for his so-called Colorado beetle Volkswagen, whose best overall results was to become the runner-up in both the Embassy/RAC-MSA British Rallycross and TEAC/Lydden Rallycross championships of the year 1976.[2] Jenson Button’s parents are divorced, and he has three older sisters, Tania Katrina (born 1967), Samantha Chantal (born 1970) and Natasha Michelle (born 1973) Button.
Racing career on 2009
On 5 March 2009, it was announced that the former Honda team would become Brawn GP, following a buy-out by Ross Brawn, the Team Principal of Honda Racing. Button, along with Rubens Barrichello, was confirmed as one of the team's drivers for the 2009 season. He took pole in his first qualifying session for the team, with team mate Barrichello in second place.[19] He managed to win his first race for Brawn [20] leading the race from start to finish [21] leading home Barrichello giving the team a 1-2 finish on their debut, which hasn't happened since 1954. [22] One week later, Jenson made it 2 pole positions in a row, for the first time in his career, as he took pole for the Malaysian Grand Prix. After the race was stopped due to heavy rain, Button won the race with half points since the drivers had not completed more than 75% of the race.
